Test pipe group buy

Post by Audacity Racing »

i'm getting a load of flanges made for some cat replacement pipes. i'm not 100% sure on the price, but i can get them for less than 50 (the whole thing) including two anti-foulers to fool the ecu.

anyone interested (paticularly those in the intimidator group buy for the header)?

i can put in whatever size pipe you are looking for. the one pictured is a 2.5" od pipe with a .06" wall thickness

Any size? i maybe intrested in a 3"

110 leader gas is cheaper than 100 unleaded... so for racing i may just do leaded and would need to get rid of the cats... hmm

Ummmm.... this wouldn't happen to be pipe to remove the first catalytic converter right near the engine would it??

If so.... been there done that.... didn't make a damned bit of difference.

I will see if I can dig up a picture of it....it's been a while.... I manufactured it shortly after purchasing my Lanos (now I have an Optra 5 .... AKA Lacetti )

ok, the pipe is costing me a total of 30 bucks for all of it (10 pipes)
the plate for the flanges is 15 bucks for a possible 32 flanges ( )
the bungs are 5 dollars a piece

i gotta get the final price on the waterjet work and a box of tig tips as well as some rod... but it's gonna be WAY cheaper than i thought :D :D :D

i'm thinking 30 bucks a piece plus shipping (and i'll ship it cheap with greyhound 8) )

here is a 3D view of the pipe so you get a better idea.

hit the play button once inside (it's an exe, but it doesn't instal unless you want it to, otherwise it's standalone). it will rotate around. 8) :D

So, if you install this pipe (on a Lanos), you would have a total of 3 bungs in your exhaust system and only 2 sensors?

i never thought of that but yes... i guess you will have an extra port, i think yuou can use the OEM sensor ports to put the sensor fouler so the extra port won't be needed.

please advice Audacityracing.

i guess i designed this in mind for my system  i thought the o2 sensor was on the cat-pipe, not the mid-pipe

if the extra bung isn't needed for you guys, i won't add that and i'll just throw in the anti-foulers :D

anyone who wants the bung can heve one for a little higher price (i.e. you're replacing the resonator as well). sorry for the confusion there. :D

ok, than the o2 sensor IS on the cat-pipe, you'll need the bung. if it wasn't so early and i wasn't still in my pajamas ( ) i'd go and look...

UPDATE: i went out and looked. don't need the bung at all :D

the o2 sensor is around the flex pipes. you could dump your exhaust after it if you wanted
