lanos 1.5L newbie

Post by Bermit »

I just bought a daewoo lanos 1.5l SOHC and i have a spare engine the buddy said it had low compression. And i could tell the headgasket was gone so i agreed with him and said it was blown. I was wondering, I am a starter in this car thing. I am going to tune it up so where do i start and what can i do. I took the head off the spare engine and started to port and polish it I have done some bikes but never a car. I am 20 and have no experience with cars, i understand engines. But i need a path to start on. Also does porting and polishing a 1.5 do anything SOHC>>>>> thanks

Better off getting a 1.6DOHC or even better a 2.0. The money your gonna spend to get power out of the 1.5 you can use to get any of these 2 engines
