i got a dynamic ip address and the isp wants moey to make it static
so noway
i was trying to find a free domain that will take the dynamic iadress everytime the net starts or the ip changes
so what should i do ?
any suggestions
does any1 know a free serveice like that

You can use something like http://dyndns.dk/, to assign dynamics IP addresses to a static IP name.
Alternatively, you can try to hardcode your exisisting DHCP settings and see if everything works. Depending on what kind of server your ISP uses, this may or may not work. Some ISP even make their 'static' IP plans run via DHCP....you provide the MAC address of your NIC or router to the ISP, and they configure their DHCP server to assign you same IP address over and over again. WHile this sounds like a great idea, its often very much unreliable, especially if ISP really wants to save money on hardware.
