colored headlights... input requested

Post by Audacity Racing »

i've talked about doing this before... what does everyone think?

the lights will be plenty bright enough to overcome the color at night and it is perfectly legal as long as the lights remain non-blue or within a certain color limit.

I would go with the green covers though (not black).

i wouldn't go with the blue interior... i would keep it silver and paint the mask in green to match the car's color. or maybe just paint the "face of the chrome interior black but that won't look too good on a dark green car.

i'm leaving the headlight eyebrow things the flat black...

the whole car has flat black accents...

eyebrows
foglight pods
mirrors
trim pieces
powder coated wing
exhaust tip

it's really a nice looking setup for my tatste... it's not very flashy, yet very racy and functional...

so... blue headlights, or not?

i'm just not feeling the blue headlights. they don't look bad but there's just something about them that i can't put my finger on.

I think its that there isn't anything else blue on the car so therefore it might be a little out of place.

I also agree with the color matching covers, leaving them flat black (regardless that stock trim is black) makes it look like you forgot to paint them.

I already painted most of my black trim pieces with several coats of primer base and clear, and even with spray cans, it looks very very good. It makes the car appear to be more fluid and smaller because the black doesn't break up the lines.

the foglights are blue... that's why i wondered about the headlights...

i'm using silverstars and when i pull in with my toyota and the beams go inside the headlights of the woo, the glow blue, that's where the idea came from.

i really think if you say the car you'd understand the non-painted eyebrows...

i use platic protector on them twice a week to keep them really black (that pic isn't a good example)... it really does look good.
