I love my Sirius radios, too.
You're going to love those PG toys.
What *REALLY* improved my FM modulator sound on my Sirius radio was an in-line antenna adapter from Circuit City that plugs into the audio output on the radio dock.
One end of the wire plugs into the dock then that goes into a small box.
That box has a socket where the car's antenna plugs into it and the box also has a short antenna cable that plugs into the back of the radio.
When you turn the satellite radio on, the signal disconnects the car's FM antenna so there is no external signal interference. That audio signal is also modulated in that box and a strong signal is then fed directly into the car radio's antenna input.
I think those units are on sale for like $16 or $18, which is a very good price for how good it makes the radio sound.

Is that the thing you're talking about Cliff?

So, you're saying that eliminates the static noise in between flipping channels? That might be helpful, I'm going to have to buy it
Does this mod eliminate the use of external magnetic antenna?
Oh, and Cliff, I also bought VENTVISOR? DEFLECTOR SET that you got years ago from JCWhitney (the clip in one). The shipping is slow though, they said they should ship it by 9/19/05 since it's coming straight from the vendor... oh well.

Yes, that is the adapter.
It just about totally elliminates ANY static or radio station bleed through sound and the frequency response of the music is very greatly improved; more base, mid range & trebble, all much cleaner sounding. It sounds better than a strong FM station.
It works so well, that no matter what radio station you are tuned to, when you turn the satellite radio on, all other music stops. When you tune to the station you are modulating on, it sounds GERAT!
Those vent visors are the best I have seen and fit perfectly. Excellent for keeping rain from dripping in and great to let in fresh air without a draft; you'll be happy with them.

Ok received everything today, ported out the enclosure, mounted the sub, connected everything in the car and it sounds AWESOME!
Way better than my 2 10" xplods. The bass is sooo deep and not even distorted. I tuned the amp to match my taste as well, it's just perfect. It's deep, loud if I want it to be, and no distortion and nothing rattles in the car, unless I really turn up the volume.
It's just great, thanks Cliff!
Maybe if I get bored one day, I'll replace my stock speakers, but for now I have no complaints what so ever.
p.s. Will take pics if you guys really want to see how it looks.
