I once got... 38mpg, god knows how many L/100km that is.. wait... 6.6L/100 or so. That was nice slow highway trip.

Now delivering pizza, massive pod filter (meant for a Commodore), and foot flat to the floor every gear, I'd say probably 13 or so. ;)

I don't know why mine is so high , I am drving carefully. Maybe there are too many uphills and downhills in Sydney and with auto-transmission.

if im going down a highway accelerating to 100, ill shift to 2nd at 40, 3rd at 80 and if im adventurous, 4th at 120 :P

but in the 60 zones around work, 2nd at 40, neutral at 60 to let the engine slow down and then just whack her into 5th to cruise.

I've never calculated my mileage on my Optra but I thought I would post the consumption of my 1997 GMC Suburban 2500 to make everyone feel better.

I get a whopping 20 liters per 100 km on the highway.

Around town??

Well.... try 28 liters per 100km

The odd thing is that it gets the same gas mileage even when I'm pulling a 5000lb trailer.

LOL maybe it weighs soooo much by itself that 5000 more pounds is really immaterial.

I've got the 1.5i, so in essence the 1994 Cielo, and I've hit 155 on flat ground, but I couldn't hear the engine because of road noise, and I don't have a tacho. So can't help there. :?

You guy's should think yourself lucky you don't live here in the UK at just approaching 1 uk pound per litre (equivalent to 1.47 Euro or 1.85 US Dollars). It certainly makes you drive light footed
