Ok I found that it runs a 18.28 stock, but I ran an 18.76 at the track. I have intake, exhaust, and a few other minnor mods. Why is my car running so slow.

hmm... most likely driver error. :-P haha jk

Typically when they get the 1/4 stock times they get someone who is a profession to test it.

also, depending on how ur mods are set up you could have hurt performance.

if you have auto and they tested 5spd, this could be the difference. Usually 5spd manual has an advantage of a second over the auto.

Amazingly, my Leganza can run the quarter mile in the EXACT same length of time it takes to get there!

LOL

I've never measured my 1/4 mile time, and mine is 100% stock, not even an intake. I still have the orrigional plastic valve stem caps on the wheels!

I doub that your car stock make 17 flat. My nubi make 17 flat best time, lanos make 19s and the aveo have 2hp less, Only if the aveo wight much less that a lanos you can make that time....

Just for the recortd, lanos weight almost like a lancer.

which lancer and Lanos are we talking here? the Lanos sedan with 1.5 SOHC and A/C and P/S weights 1036 Kgms whereas the Lancer with the same accessories and 1.3 SOHC weights 975 Kgms... both cars have the same 0-60MPH times.

The aveo has 1hp less than the Lanos which really makes no difference. I believe the aveo is 100-200 lbs lighter than the Lanos. I believe the 1/4 test in the Lanos was 17.8 in a Lanos 5sp.

*Edit* I was way off on the numbers. The Lanos tested was a hatchback 5sp and it was 17.46@79mph and a sedan with AT with 18.55 @ 75mph. Lanos sedan is about 70lbs heavier than the HB.

The Aveo was tested as well. 5sp - 17.83@77.9mph and AT 18.32@74.9mph

Weights:
Aveo AT 2381 lbs
Aveo 5sp 2365 lbs
Lanos HB AT 2527 lbs
Lanos HB 5sp 2447 lbs

All this info was taken from http://autos.msn.com

I've never really tested it, but I believe that my car (Lanos) is faster than 19s in the quarter mile. Probabally 17-18, maybe less with all the stuff taken out.

I only say that because they say our cars take like 11 secs to get to 60, where mine takes like 9.5.

Well I don''t have my time slips from last year. But I ran a 17 flat. I can't repeat because I've made some mods to the car and engine. I will be running again as soon as I get that U/D pulley on. Damn canadian post is slow. Ups from cali to me is 3 -4 business days. the canadian post sight is saying 8 business days and it's the same distance. Oh well. as long as it gets here before my vacation is over next tuesday. I betting on mid 16's in the Aveo!
