You'd be hard pressed to do that on one of our Intakes, especially with the VGIS. I am also unsure with the performance gains, because like exhaust, intake needs some pressure to function properly and with 4 TB, there is no restriction, you would lnot to much to low end TQ, but gain at the top end
I know they sell professional ones for our cars in Europe, but they cost an arm and a leg.
Sweet DIY though, nice find.

I have been thinking about doing a spare Lanos 1.6 engine with carbs, a mechanical distributor and no computer at all. All mechanical like all the old car engines used to be.
Having done a lot of work with air cooled VWs and Porsches, I am used to configuring and balancing multiple carbs on an engine.

hi
mine was running on 40dohc carbs and it was a lot faster than it was on fuel injection (cielo 1.5dohc GTX)
I have pics of the engine but could not post them here

I know it's been almost a year since last post... but... I'm really thinking about doing this. Could this be done without complications like on that vtec engine?
Or does anyone know where I could find an ITB that would most definately fit my Lanos (I know SBD has one... but they don't have online ordering system, and they haven't replied to me)?
Thanks guys.
