NEED PRO HANDLING HELP

Post by python235 »

well after upgrading the electrical system to the engine THE CAR IS GOING CRAZY, the acceleration is unbelivable
well the prob is here
after the rpm reaches 4 or 4.5 the sterring wheel BECOMES WATERY SLICK
the car cant be turned with half a finger :P
u can feel every bump on the road and the steering reacts to it too!!
so i need help on making the car STICK STRAIGHT and not respond to those bumps
i have 15" rims and 50 X 205 tires and they STILL CANT STOP SLIP!!
im guessing its the dusty reaods we have!
but still need to make the car STICK STRONGER to the ground

given all the feedback you said... you need a 500 Kgm of extra weight on your hood to keep the front on the road.

OK now you might need stiffer suspension especially on the back of the car to prevent the front from leaping during acceleration.

BTW: what electrical systems upgrade did you do.

it was mainly custom on making the electricity to the engine VERY INTENSE to complete combustionit was done by adding amps and chnaging the coil to a very high voltage coil (DONT ASK ME, I DONT UNDERSTAND Y), we also added spark plugs to the car with 4 heads ech plug (beru ultraX ) new spark plug wires from NGK, we added a new fuel pump froma v6 nissan :D making the fuel always stable on high , the car dosnt run rich AT ALL !!! it burns almost everything making it hard to put a back fire device :D

your suspension is too hard and you are losing mechanical grip and bump-steer is taking effect, but also, you have too soft of a sway/anti-roll bar, so the car leans dramatically...

softer in the front

stiffer in the rear (use a tower bar)

different shocks, different bushings, tower bars, etc...

especially change your steering arm bushings... (did chad ever finish the lanos version of this mod with the poly aveo ones????)

the most effective vehicle upgrade for handling and grip is, without question, the rubber on your tires. get new tires that are grippier.

you can't change the dynamic behavior of the car without changing the suspension setup... and that's not possible.

good luck

since you have a racer i'm not sure what they sell for it suspension wise. never really looked it up. maybe Efrain or Tom or somebody with more knowledge on your car can help. i'll look though to see if i can find anything.

he said POWER STEERING... i guess he ment the steering wheel is veryt very light and too responsive... i am sure this car suffers from massive understeering.

yo phyton... can you get some slick tires as the ones used on tarmac rallies?? i think that will be the most sutable thing to get... also what is the road conditions you drive on? maybe it is your roads rather than your car.

Just got a flashback at the Pirelli adv... POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL!... that is what phyton got. thank God i got Pirelli P3000 on myride, i got the "control" part covered... now i have to do mods to get some "power" as i hardly have any

well maybe it is the roads SICE THEY ARE ALL DUSTY
plus i have MICHELEN tires, but i cant get slicks
they cost 1000 dollars for sport slick tires here .
it might be the raods too THEY SUCK BIG TIME :D
but still i dont like how the steering becomes very responsive I NEED TO FIX IT!! but not for 1000 $
