Hey Guys,
I'm in the market for a new car soon. (not my choice)
I loved everything about it but it doesn't seem that peppy to drive at all. Now I assume the tranny had the medium gearing set up and lack of VGIS is also a factor.
I'm probably still going to go with one for the simple fact that I need reliable transportation.
P.S. Don't worry the Lanos isn't going anywhere. I'm trading in my POS Malibu.

I looked at one a couple months ago and the sales guy came out to "help" ... LOL
We started talking and he was surprised I knew so much about the car, and I ended up asking him "So, do you have any questions?" .... LOL
I will have both my Woos paid off very soon, and have to resist the temptation of buying another car, no matter how much I'd love to get a Reno hatch, I just don't need it.

When I was in the market for a new car (this was between the whole Daewoo Bankruptcy and GM Takeover so there were no new Daewoos) it was between a Honda and a Toyota. The people at the Toyota dealership were such total ASSHOLES that it turned me off of Toyota forever and I will never drive one of those American built Japanese crap boxes simply because of the dealership and the sales guy.tango wrote:Our local Chevrolet dealer is BULLSH!T!! Trust me...I've decided not to buy the Optra because of them. I have no choice in dealers so I'm gona have to change brands...again.
Not to mention that the Camry I test drove was underpowered, had shitty steering, shitty braking, shitty shifting, and a 100% tupperware interior.
Dealers think they can act like dicks simply for the fact they they believe that we need them more than they need us. They are sadly mistaken.
When my Lanos kicks the bucket (which may be never with how good I have it driving) and if the price is right, and if the aftermarket support is there, I'm going to buy either a Reno or the sweet looking Verona.
thats toyota in general.....they couldnt make an exciting car if they tried.BosnianLanos wrote: Not to mention that the Camry I test drove was underpowered, had shitty steering, shitty braking, shitty shifting, and a 100% tupperware interior.
My sister has an older celica (apparently its a sports car) and my woo slays it in everything it does. Even my grandfather who is 79 and all into reliability and all the other booring things wont by a toyota because he finds them too bland and uninspiring, and that says alot coming from someone who claims to actually remember the great deppression

I love my Reno S and after breaking it in (20,000 miles since January), the shifting is much improved. I find that on a cool day that I have more than enough pep when I drop it a gear and gun it. I had originally planned to have some upgrades done (ud pulley, wheels, tires, Apex springs) but an illness wiped out my $$$$ and put me into debt.
With that said, compared to my ZX2 that I removed the lower resonator, replaced the top resonator, and put in a K&N filter the Reno does not have as much pick up and go. The ZX2 was also a 5 speed manual transmission ( I like having control LOL ).
