tacho gauge needle problem
Just installed a new cluster with tacho in my lanos which had no tacho originally. One prob: Why is it that the needle still points on the 1 (x1000) number when off and then when I switch it to acc it then falls to zero? Shouldn't it go down to 0 immediately when I switch the car off?

it is supposed to drop to zero when the engine is off... i got no idea why this happened, i don't recommend messing with the needle just yet as it looks as a minor problem (the needle functions otherwise normally...right?).
anyways i am happy that a direct cluster swap is doable on the 1348CC engine... i will try to do that on my 1.5 SOHC soon.

Just for the sake of those who own a 1349CC Lanos like mine, the instructions for the tacho connection, both for the 1.5 or 1.6 Lanos do not work for our cars. They cause horrible engine stalls etc. There is another solution which i do not personally know since I didn't do the wiring work myself. Will ask my autoelectrician however

emm... honestly not sure, what I'm sure of is that the wiring diagrams for the 1.5 don't work for the 1345CC definately. That I saw myself and got the fright of my life. As promised I will ask the autoeletrician who did it for me to tell me exactly what he did
