I'm most likely going to buy a box... too lazy.

I'm deciding on either this Sealed box ($59.99):

http://www.cardomain.com/item/RTE31612

Or this Ported box ($69.99):

Which one would work better? And are there any better deals online for just buying an enclosure?

Thanks

Go with the ported box, it should match up to the subwoofer & amp very nicely. It is well made and the price is good.

Remember to get a wiring kit. The best for the money is the Scosche $25 4GA amp wiring kit from Wal Mart. I have bought and installed many of these for other people's cars and they are an excellent value for everything that is included. If you were to buy all the parts seperately, it would cost a lot more.

My car is already pre-wired, since I had the system before... just missed that bass so much, that I wanted to get something not too expensive and good quality.

Thanks a lot for all the help Cliff!! :)

You're very welcome.

That is going to be a good sounding subwoofer setup. You'll be quite happy with it. :)
I've got a PG amp in my car right now and love it. It is powering a single JL 10W0 in a sealed box, and I am amazed at how much bass that small setup has.

I'm really wanting to do more car audio stuff ... the audio itch is going to need to be scratched soon!!! LOL I got a new job with more money and a nice bonus, so I am paying the Lanos off in full and will have the Leganza paid off in about 4 months. That will leave me with no bills other than car insurance! Looks like I'm going to have more money to play with my cars and car audio.

I'm looking foward to hearing about the new stuff you get, and as always ... We need PICS!!! :D

It is going to be about 2 weeks till I get it, since I'm leaving to Maine for vacation... but pics and feedback will come as always :D

So in about 2 weeks my audio itch will go away lol.

Cliff,

I got these specs for PG sub:

Sealed Box Volume 0.90 - 1.60 cubic feet
Ported Box Volume 1.20 - 2.00 cubic feet

The box I originally wanted to buy (ported) came to over $100 shipped. So, I'm wondering if this one will do a good job:

It's also ported but the volume is 1.25 cu.ft., would that still be good?

Thanks

p.s. this is another one of my choices, but it's sealed:

Definately go with the first one, the Qlogic ported. They are well built boxes and it comes with a grille to protect the sub.

The sealed one is a generic one from an unknown manufacturer.
If you want to look at the build quality of the Qlogic, go to Circuit City or Best Buy and have a look at their boxes that they have on display on the shelf.
