The amps are decent for the money.
They are much better now then when they first started.
The amps deliver around rated RMS power, which is a good thing.

I have not heard anything about the newer subs, but the older ones did not reproduce frequencies as cleanly as higher end subs, such as JL, Rockford & Kicker. As for the newer subs, I do not know.

Some of the mono subwoofer amps (1 channel) have been known to produce a little more RMS wattage than claimed.

For budget equipment, you can't go wrong with them.

I've never had them but my friend got that "party pack" from pep boys, like 800 watts with 2 12's and a box for like 159.99. The amp is nice, its worth the money alone, the subs....are shitty. The don't hit hard, VERY distorted, and are most likely gonna blow out soon, the sound deteriorated so quickly. But if you buy that party pack, the box and amp are worth every penny, just buy some decent 12's and you got a kickass system.
