well murphy's law strikes again

Post by lanos2001 »

well tonight i was just cruising and telling my friend about murphy's law and how i named it Daewoo's Law after the turbo kit was a sure go and right after i dropped him off i notice my temp light was on and saw my gauge all the way up. stopped turned around and look under the hood and low and behold the cheap ass thermastat blew. :x i'm just glad i caught it before i drove any further hopefully the junkyard here will have one in stock until i get a brand new one. DAMN YOU MURPHY!!!!!!! :x

You didn't smell anything before the gauge got all the way up? When I was driving, I definately smelled it, but thought it was a truck in front of me. Good thing I was paying attention to the gauge, also good thing you were paying attention :)

well i was smoking a cig and had the windows rolled down and didn't see any smoke from the hood. i did smell it a bit but wasn't sure if it was the tar they've been laying down all over town or not.

If you can't find one, I can always overnight it for ya. Sorry to hear about the car, but it is a good thing you caught it. It might be worth checking for wet spots around the cylinder head.
