here is some pictures of the lanos that i am currently fixing.. tell me what you think... valves go or not??
here are the timing marks
here is what happens when you keep your lanos on a sugar diet and after 50k miles it has its first dental apointment.. missing a whole row of teath
so now im left with the desion to either rule out busted valves or to do more test on the head to see if they are bent before i pull it off

Sorry to hear about this, but yes indeed, Daewoo belts are a very weak link and if you notice they NEVER break outright, but sheer teeth.
One way to know if you have bent valves is to fit the new belt and turn the engine by hand. Neutral up the car and then rotate the crankshaft. Listen keenly and be slow so that you can hear or feel if anything hits the piston as it rotates. If it seems fine then you can go ahead and take the chance and start her up. I've never heard of a twin cam Daewoo that didn't bend valves but I have heard of twin cam Vauxhalls that have lost belts and not bent anything. So there MAY be a very slim chance that you're okay. If you do have further problems then from what I have heard and seen the job is pretty easy to cary out. It's something that can be done in a few hours. Good luck.

also you can have a compression test to make sure you got no bent valves.

You would have to reset the timing and install a new belt before attempting a compression test.
Hmmm.... one or two teeth and you might be ok but that belt seems like it might have skipped quite a few.
If it were me I'd pull off the head and look.... other than time it only really costs you a headgasket.
If you need the head bolt removal and tightening sequence let me know.... I think it's posted in the album area somewhere.... I'm not sure.
