right guys, please help LANOS SPOILER

Post by UK_REZ_ESSEXRACERS.COM »

ok people, i have ordered my front and rear spliters, im getting custom skirts, but i need a spoiler.

i dont want that stupid huge thing, i want that lowered boot spoiler that this car has...

Image

does anyone know if its glued on? or is it bolted?

also, i think i read that people have fitted a 96 model HONDA CIVC HATCH BACK lowered spoiler? is this true, does it fit? i dont trust the glue, i would prefer something to bolt onto the metal work/boot rather than glue.

PLEASE HELP

Since you can't drill tempered glass, I would venture to say that it is glued on because there are no stock mounting holes that low on the hatch.

You are right about not trusting glue, lanos2001 has had his wing fall off when it was glued on. You could drill into the metal on the bottom of the hatch and tilt the spoiler upward, but drilling it into the body wouldn't allow you go open your hatch.

well if your looking for that exact lower spoiler then it won't be bolt on b/c since our rear glass is tempered its a high risk of cracking if someone tries to drill through it even with the right tools. glue worked for mine for the past 8 months. but with that one its has less surface contact so i'm not sure if it'll support it or not. i have seen people with the civic one on with modification of course

oh and my spoiler is not stupid
j/k everyones got their opinion.
