subwoofer install

Post by yea17s »

ok so i got all the neccesary pieces, but am confused on the install part. i wanna have the sub outside the box and am unsure if its to be bolted on the inside or outside of the box. in a normal install the magnet, voice coil etc are inside the box however its mounted on the outside, and am unsure if this is reversed when placing the sub outside the box

the bolts/screws don't matter to the sound production. do it however is cleanest and easiest. :)

Well as far as mounting it goes, you'd never get a screwdriver or any other tool for that matter inside the box to mount the speaker the way you explain. Just turn the speaker around and put the screws into the box from the backside of the speaker.
