New rims on my Optra 5

Here are the new rims on the Optra. I went with Fastco Virus rims, and Kumho Ecsta 712 tires. They are 17" rims. Haven't had a chance to clean them up or anything yet, but these are some quick pics I took.

Hmmm, not sure about lowering yet. Two reasons really, first of all, it's a lease, and second, my insurance company, or any aroudn here for that matter, frown on suspension mods, even though they make the car safer if done correctly.

well if its just a lease then put spring clamps on it. some people say its not safe but mine have been on like two years and never popped off. plus its only like 8 bucks for a set of two. so for $16 you can drop it like .5 inches or so it'll at least look better and you can take them off at any time. they're a bitch to put on depending on how you do it but taking them off would be no problem.

Lower it with lowering springs, and just don't tell your insurance company.

yeah, save your old ones and if they request an inspection, or you're going to turn the car back in, slap the old ones in

i agree with them as well except if you don't do the springs yourself or know someone that'll do it cheap then you'll spend a bunch of money to have them put on, then taken off for inspection, then put on again.

easy solution...

buy the crappy spring clamps (like a set) and use them to compress the stock springs to get em out... it's not that hard of a process
