maybe not that exact brand but yeah i have that setup in my woo right now. its called, i think, a double deck or something like that type of kit. if we wanted we can put a cd player and a dvd player or something else at the same time. some cars only have one slot like the lancers. and with the wiring harness its the same not sure if its the same brand but i have one for my cd player.

I have my cd player in there right now, but I am redoing my interior, but it seems thought it will work out very nicely.

You have any pictures of how well it sits in there? I am wanting to install my deck, but I don't know how well it all fits together.

Here is a pic of my radio with the installation kit:

Image

I left an available ring out from the installation so that my radio would specifically sit recessed below the surface when it was installed.

To see why I left the radio spacer ring out and wanted the radio to be recessed, click this link:

The kit fits very well and holds the radio in place securely.

That is a genius idea, I love it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it looks like I'll be installing the Sony deck after all..... as soon as I figure out how to disconnect the damn climate controls in my Optra 5. :?

I don't know if the Lanos/Nubira/Leganza installation kit will fit the Optra5.
Better talk to erfinder about that one ... as I remember, he had one hell of a time getting his stock radio out.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that either, but from what I have seen so far, the OEM deck in the Optra 5 still uses the Daewoo connector, not the GM connector, so I'm guessing the dash area would still be Daewoo standard as well.... I guess I'l just have to figure that part out the hard way.

Don't find it out the hard way, PM erfinder and he should be able to help. He has already done this to his car, so he knows how.

Future Shop normally stocks that stuff. Harness for my Lanos was 15, dash kit was the same.

Yes, but he is talking about his Optra5 and the dash/radio installation is very different. The wiring harness, however, should be the same.
