Well I have a guy selling me a honda d series stock manifold for $5. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. I wanna see if there is gonna be any clearance issues on the Aveo. hopefully all I have to do is bore out the stud holes a little and cut the down pipe to match with the flex pipe. Even the stock D16 manifold is a upgrade to the lousy Aveo manifold. The Aveo exhaust manifold is smaller than the Lanos, same as the intake. Don;t see how they are both rated 103, 105. Wish me luck! I'll post some pics
you will have to work out a way to use the bottom two end holes.. like weld something on to it so that the bolts line up.. thats the only problem you will have
is it bettwr to change a stoke intake with a stock intake?
I mean is the value of work (modefication of the intake & install ) will be effective ? how much power you will gain after that?
keep us informed with your work
a.k.n
If it's an N/A header, make sure it goes around the oil pan... otherwise you might have to weld connection to the downpipe. I don't know about the Aveo, but Lanos' exhaust header curves around the oil pan. So if the header is straight, it will not work.
That is why I am getting a factory d series header "to check for clearence issues" I wanna see what I have to do before I buy a performance header. Duh! LOL
