Well, my engine kind of hesitates on heavy acceleration once in a while... it all started a few weeks ago. I kind of ignored it, but now I'm having some problems. Under heavy acceleration (when I floor the gas pedal), my engine seems to get stuck at different rpms (at random) and hesitates to go anywhere, kind of like I have a rev limiter all over my rpm range. It sounds like I'm hitting some limiter too.
Here's an example lol:
Normal engine under acceleration: Vrooooooooooooooooooooom
My engine under acceleration: Vrooooom-m-m-m-m-ooooom
And now finally, it's been getting worse and my CEL started blinking and then just stayed on.
Could it be the spark plugs? I don't know if those have ever been changed... What could it be that's causing this?
Thanks guys,
Igor

That is exactly what's happening... will do thanks
As you can see.....only silver beats copper.... and copper is more than six times better than Platinum
Sure Platinum and Iridium don't corrode like copper but I'd rather replace the plug more often with the money I saved.
Copper is ductile which means it can take some abuse.... Platinum and Iridium electrodes can be easily damaged during a misfire.
Anyways...... it's just my opinion..... take it or leave it.
Yeah, it was for a set of four . I agree with you about the plugs. I run basic, bottom of the line NGK's and have never had a single problem with the spark plug. I used to run Champion spark plugs from Wal-Mart, and even they ran fine. I believe that I've only changed the plugs on my car like 3 times and have always put in basic quality plugs. So far so good.
i used to run Champion on my car then switched to NGK and they were fine... now i am on Denso but i am not that sure of what i feel about them... i wanna go back to NGK.
Interesting... I did a small burn out in first (the front of the car was sort of jumping) and the check engine light turned off. I shut the car off, and turned it back on, and the light comes of for a sec (when starting a car) and then comes off... just like it used to.
I'm still going to visit my mechanic and ask him and I'm still replacing my spark plugs / wires. So now, my light is off!!
