Paint heat range?
When painting the exhaust manifold heat shield can I use the 500 degree enamal or do I have to use that dull color 900 degree stuff??

I think you'll be fine with 500... i used 1200 on mine and on my brakes and havnt had any problems at all. Keep in mind im on the track alot so my brakes get very hot.
I know 1200 is a big difference but if my brakes stand 1200 i think the heatshield will stand 500

In Arazona, the inside of your car will reach 500 if you leave the car in the parking lot with the windows closed. :P
