I Need a Special Tool, HELP!

Post by BosnianLanos »

I just got my new steering wheel from Nick (lanos2001) this morning and I went to install it because I have some free time, but before I started, I ran into a bit of a snag.

To get to the steering wheel nut, you first have to take off the SRS Drivers' Airbag, and to take off the airbag, it apears that I need some special bit to take out the two bolts for the air bag.

Here is the pic of the bolt, it is a star bolt, of which I have many bits, but the problem is that damn pin in the center. I need a star bit with a hole in the center for that pin to be able to get the airbag off. I know some of you have done this. Please help!

If anyone can get me a Daewoo OEM part number, or the location of the part at some popular store, please help!

It's just a "security" torx bit.... they should be available all over the place.

I have two or three sets.... I don't remember the brand name.... I'm sure most major brands make a "security" torx bit set.
