Seoul, Korea -GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) announced today that
its products sold in Korea as GM Daewoo Lacetti and GM Daewoo Kalos would reach
GM Holden showrooms in Australia in the third quarter of 2005.
According to GM Holden, GM?s affiliate in Australia, the Kalos will be sold
as the Holden Barina. It will replace the current Holden model of the same name.
The Lacetti will be sold as a new Holden model, the Viva. The Barina will be
available in three-door and five-door hatch variants with a 1.6-liter engine.
The Viva will come in four-door sedan, five-door hatch and five-door wagon variants
with a 1.8-liter engine. Both models will include design and engineering influences
from GM Holden.
GM Daewoo designs, develops and manufactures vehicles that are meeting the
specific demands of the 150 markets in which they are available. The automaker?s
products are sold globally under some of the GM Group?s most prestigious nameplates
including Buick, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Suzuki and soon Holden.
oh and here is the new Daewoo Statesman.
