I've seen a bunch of these, a lot of people tell me they don't work but when I asked them if they personally know from experiece of having them in their cars they tell me noone has gotten them.

i didn't try this on my car but i know crap when i see one

a 20HP increase is a tad under 20% increase in power for a standard issue 1.6 DOHC engine, such increase can,t be achived by just putting a chip some where... you have to do some serious work.

adding an intake, exhaust and stuff could gain you some 10 or maybe 15 HP at best (still talking about lanos engine) and you can see how and why that power is gained by those parts.

that chip looks like another version of a hand made choco chip or something and we all know that it does add to the performance (not 20 HP thoug) yet it ruins your fuel economy... thay is a "fooling arround" mod. rather than a performance mod.

you say that no one tried this so you are asking for more feedback... what feedback did the guys selling this stuff provide?? any dyno charts, 1/4 mile or 0/60 mile times comparason to stock cars?...just a clame of 20 HP gain

if that is the case i can flood ebay by my new invention "power boost plus - golden edition" that will add 50 HP to any fuel injected engine... i will just dig up my old parts and send you a busted device with an electrical socket and run away with your money.

you got to have a feel for such scams so when some one sells a little device that will add some 20% HP to the engine you got to be suspecious also if some one says he got a 500 HP daewoo you should know he is bluffing because some things are just way out of proportion.

i say spen your money wisly and don't fall for such crap... it is a good thing that you asked us so we can clear that out for you and all the people in here.

P.S: if you are intrested in my power boost plus - golden edition device send me a PM and i will send you a quote. (j/k)

This part can easily ruin your ECU... DO NOT buy it. It is another contender for the CRAPPY list (I think it's there already though).

Just my personal feeling about these ebay "performance upgrade":

Don't you think that if Daewoo / GM-DAT could improve their engine by 20HP with a simple resistor mod that cost 5 Cent... we'd get it installed from factory!

This exact item is listed in the General section's welcome message to new members.

It can damage the ECU, foul the oxygen sensor and foul the catalytic converter which will make the check engine light come on.

There is a lot of good information in that post for new members. Take a look.

exactly my point... such mod does add some HP to the car (not 20 HP though) but on the expese of fuel economy and Daewoos are economy cars so such thing contradicts with the reason the car was made in the first place.

This is rubbish. The resistor (chip :) :D  ) ) is installed instead of (or parallely) intake air temperature sensor. The ECU thinks the air is still cool and increases the timing of fuel injection. The ECU pours fuel into engine by means of bucket. Crazy idea

Well, I have an Aveo, and I bought some resistors from radio shack, same kind as the chip. It doesnt work what so ever. My check engine light came on, didnt go off for like 3 days. It idled rough as hell, no difference in the 0-60 which I did test it. Its a piece that can ruin your car.

you did it wrong. I've been running mine for over a year no problems, and it does make a difference. Do you have a CAI intake on. if your running the stock intake, and set it for too much fuel , it will set a CEL light
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!
