Q: Lanos engine tests

does anyone know where (I think somewhere in USA) was the Daewoo Lanos engine tested and how long and at what rpm did they tested the engine without stop ?

There was an article posted on here somewhere. Try the search link up above.

It was tested by Vauxhall in the UK. I think they got 150hp safely out of it.

Yup, they got 150 HP stock without any reliability problems but reason they opted against such high power is because it was lacking low end torque and was probabally a beast with gas.

no, no, misunderstanding. I thought where was the STOCK engine tested before serial production. does anyone know ? they have let the engine run at ???rpm for hours or days without stop to test it.

Since the 1.6L is engineered by Lotus or Opel or someone of the sort, you can try searching their websites or magazines to see what the 1.6L was tested like. Try either finding the earlier post about this...or you can lie in the competition... :lol: .
