CEL
Well first off i just installed my UD pulley from Tom along with rear rotors and new front pads so recently did some work on the car.
Anyways since ive installed all of that ive had three CELs.. all three start just as i past the 100mph mark in 4th gear, the first two times it happened the CEL only blinked on and off consistantly for maybe 2-5mins. The third time it did the same thing only after 2-5 mins it stayied on and is still on about 25 mins later. The engine seems to be perfectly normal and im having no problems but am i a little worried, any ideas?
If its still on tomorrow im going to have the code read (does that cost money at an autostore?) but i need to get this figured out cuz Sunday morning i have an hour drive to an autocross event and saturday night i work for three hours (the delivery job).
Thanks for any ideas guys!

This is very much intriguing. Erfinder's Optra did not develop any CEL for the entire testing period. Since the CEL, based on your description, only goes on after 100mph mark (let me remind you speeding is dangerous), the only related issue may be the speed-sensitive power steering. The only item different between our test Optra 5 and your Forenza, is the size of the wheels. At least, thats what I believe.
Post the results of the error codes. If you cannot get the reader, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes - this will clear the codes. Then see if its back - if so, then it would be a good idea to have it read.

My CEL came on and started blinking at high speeds to, but as I applied the brake, it stopped blinking and just stayed on (I've had a misfire CEL, probabally injector, for some time now) then when I accelerated, it started blinking again. Car was absolutely fine the whole time though, just a little scary.
It could be a speed sensitive steering problem, but also, it might be some kind of misfire glitch.

Check engine light.
Well i broke 100mph mark about 7 times since i reset the ECU, one time the CEL came on again for 3 mins it blinked and went away, it came on on a corner at about 105mph. Actually about 60% the time it comes on on a corner.. but about half the time i speed its on those two particular corners

thats strange i thought the ECU stores some 4 CEL codes on it so if you got a CEL and it went away you still can read what it was... any body can enlighten us on this subject??

The shop that fixed my fuel injector told me the ECU is supposed to store and CELs thrown so you can check back at a later time and see what was wrong (like in my case) but w/ the fuel injector problem the CEL only blank on and off and never stayied on consecuatily.. The CEL now has been doing the same thing except there was one time it stayied on. But when i get the CEL fron the fuel injector checkers *or whatever autostore* told me there has to be a CEL on for THEM to find a problem.. they didnt seam to know much about cars (lol) but i tried telling them it should store the codes and the lady told me they're store can only read it if the CEL is on

well... those people sound stupid, i am 99% sure that the ECU stores some CEL's.
after all any standard OBD scanner got the function of resetting those CELs (without resetting the ECU itself) so that you can get a fresh start to diagnose your engine problems... CELs doesn't come with a time stamp so you can easly mix and old CEL with a new one thinking you got two new fault codes.
