Bigger wheels for Nubira II, how to ?
Hi everyone,
I'm just curious what modification have you guys done for your cars in order to be able to put those big wheels (16", 17" ) on you Nubira cars - I mean what did you do in order to avoid rubbing of the rims ?
I'm asking this - because I tried to put some 15" wheels with ET37+ and I had that problem described above - the rims did rub (on the up-exterior part of the rim) - with three adult persons on the back seats - running over the bumps ...
I saw a lot of Nubira carswith 16', 17" and even 18" wheels - how come ?
At this time, my car has the original wheels/rims 185x65 R14 and I'm interested to put some 16" ,too - what do I need to do in order to avoid above issues ?
Regards,

Well ... the right offset for 15 inches wheels for my car it will be ET 54+ .
So, is very dificult to find out any aftermarket wheels with an offset like this ... plus I'm interested in design also (I'm looking for multispoke wheels).
Second, I beleive those guys who have those 16", 17" wheels for their Nubira cars, do not respect the original offset - tough not sure about this ...

i don't own a Nubira so i don't know what the guys that own it do for the bigger wheels they got... wait till you get better feedback from them.

can you tell me some brands ? 'cause I checked brands like Alessio, Oz Racing, BTDS, and a few others and I did not find any with that big offset ... if I could find some ... I wouldn't bother you here with my questions ...
please keep in mind that original 15 inches wheels have the offset ET 54+ ...
are you having a Nubira hatchback there ? what wheels/rims do you have ?

I have 17" rims with 7.5 offset no problem, well I also drop the car 1.3" so if I have 2 person on the back there is not problem. But if I have 3 person all depend of the weight. If you put 18" you will have rub problems when pass a bump or if you have people on the back.
So if you have rubbing with your 15" you have a incorrect offset.

I have a Lanos (original offset is 49mm) I'm getting 15"x6.5 with 40mm offset right now. Try websites like www.wheelmax.com they have lots of brands. Just select your car and press "search packages", then you would have to select the size. I chose 16" and already came up with 40mm, 42mm, and 44mm offsets. Good luck.dinoc wrote:can you tell me some brands ? 'cause I checked brands like Alessio, Oz Racing, BTDS, and a few others and I did not find any with that big offset ... if I could find some ... Eagle Alloy
I actually just put eagle alloy 17's on mine with hanhook 205/40/17 tires and they fit just fine.dinoc wrote:can you tell me some brands ?
