Actually, the ones I have DO light up brighter when you hit the brakes at night.
I made sure to get the 2 brightness level lights.
With the marker lights on, they light up red.
When you step on the brakes, these light up very bright.
I tested and made sure they worked like this before installing them. If they did not work like that, I would not be using them.

Well, the only thing I could say to that is... you suck lol j/k
The ones I had, when the brake is engaged, it would only lid up more of those tighny bulbs instead of making them brighter, so it didn't make any difference at night.
Your tails look hot though!!
I still used gel covers for my brake bulbs, and instead of red they are pink!! And when I hit the brakes, they become even brighter pink!! LOL I also have regular red brake bulbs, but I don't use them cause I love the pink brake lights. I'll post some pics later lol.
I tried to remove my tail lights last night to replace the bulbs, and I couldn't get the front section loose at all, is there a tab in there that i have to depress to remove the assembly? I took out the two screws and the light wiggles out but it wont come all they way out!
let me try to explain this. the side where you took the two scews out is gonna be the side i'm talking about. push that with the palm of your hand outward and you just have to wiggle it a bit to get it out. took me like ten minutes to figure it out my first time. just gotta play with it a bit. the lights are held in by tabs in a slotted hole so you have to slide it out then pull. hope this helps.
