Nubi A/C issue

Post by delphis »

My sister has a 2000 nubi and her ac doesn't work( and she lives in phoenix, az) She says that the dealership said it was the compressor and they quoted $1500 for the reapir, and I told her she could fix it for much less than that, but I am not sure if it is the compressor though because STEALERSHIPS will say anything ecspecially to a 19 year old female. So she says that the Fan comes on but when she pushes the a/c button no cold air comes out it just continues blowing the same air as if it weren't even on. Any help is greatley appreciated AS ALWAYS!

Check the freon level. The a/c system works on a pressure switch, if the freon is low, the compressor does not turn on, so it doen't damage it. And yes the Daewoo has it, all compressors have it.
Aveo that moves! Now I need those cams!

Under the hood check fuses, relay, diodes, A/C compressor belt.
Also I read somewhere that the switch is a common issue.

when the botton is puched do you feel the compressor kicking in?? if it doesn't then it could be something electrical causing the compressors' clutch not to ingage.

also check for ferion gas... if it leaked out you won't get any cooling whasoever.
