Headers and Cat Backs Optra & Forenza
So far I am having a hard time finding a 4/1 header and Cat Back Exhaust for the Forenza. A few manufactures have ask me if the Daewoo Lacetti & Nubria have the same frame/engine set up/wheel base. I also can not confirm what differences would be in play for a manual trans Forenza as mine is Auto. So anyone who can give me info it would be great. I'm talking with Pace Setter - DC - Euro Exhaust Comp- right now.

He'd like to know if the Daewoo Lacetti & Nubria have the same frame/engine set up/wheel base. Also the differences of exhaust systems between auto and manual forenza (I know auto and mt lanos are different).kinkyllama wrote:Did you read the post? lol.woo wrote:get a custom cat back, its not expensive, mine only cost $280 ($aus) and thats with a resonator

I would like to find out how different the header is between the manual forenza & the auto. Some times to save money they will design them to
interchange..others because of space they are radically different. I was hoping some one in the forum had experience under the hood..friends at a dealer who may verify this. My dealer is a turd & will not help me:)
That being said if some one knows of a totalled forenza I may be looking to get a header to send to some one for a quote for a small production run of an 4/1 for us!!
Same with the exhaust system. Manufactures want to know "how many different cars can this fit so we can make money?". So anyone who sees the under side of the Forenza and Daewoos may be able to help us with that question for the cat back. So if some one knows of a totalled Forenza we may want to snatch the exhaust off of it.
Example could be cross reference to factory part numbers to see when they are duplicated.
Thanks

Pics would be great. (emailscottbradley@yahoo.com)
Also is this a manual or auto car that it is from?
Finally if some one here can produce (a few at a time) cat backs (cat flange all the way to the rear) I would like to know the fee for 2.5" inch stainless mandrel and crinkle versions. Then we can establish a muffler to add for a final design with hangers. If this works out the person involved would simply get orders from me (paid) then would ship them to customers.
email me privately if you are intersted in the exhaust work.

P.S. 3 exhaust manufactures shot me down for the Forenza today.

It'll take me awhile to get pics... i should have taken a pic of when i redid my exhaust of the old one.
I should have my car off the ground in about a week to look over it after/before my races and ill take pics then
2.5" piping might be a little big. When my car idles it lets out small pops... if im right that might be a sign its too big. I dont think you would get any gains having 2.5 over 2.25 unless you went F/I

Which is very very loud.. you would *want* a resonator...greentrep94 wrote:you should be fine with the 2.5, but you'll just loose some torque and gas mileage since there's barely any backpressure. Like kinkyllama said, unless you go f/i there won't be any gains by going 2.5 over 2.25, you'll just get a different sound.

I agree that losing too much B/P and poping is not what I would want on my car. 2.25 may just as well. I want enough for a nice sound and moderate gains for mid/top but not blowing the low end out. I remember in 95 I had a civic that I really felt lost so much bottem it negtated the top gain.
