I heard that you will have a LOT of wiring to do... with the ECU etc. Basically have to rework the whole car.

I'd suggest reading the old threads in the forum to see what your options are.

why don't you just drop a 2.0 Daewoo engine and save yourself all that trouble, we all know that the 2.0 swap is doable.

a B16 engine can be done, the thing is the CV joints and axles, i've seen hybrids like that on different cars and they only keep breaking cv joints or axles due to the engine been bad installed.

the SR20DET is a good choise, i've a XE (also a 2.0) on my car wich is the same engine bay as the lanos. the SR20 almost is the same size has my XE, so i think its possible to do it with the right tools.

If i were you i drop a nubira 2.0 and use the other money to beefup the engine.

from what i have seen/read you can get up to a 2.2 engine in a lanos.

i live in the UK, and there is loads ov engines suitable for the lanos, im considering a 2.0 or 2.0 turbo from a mk2 astra, REDTOP.

if your guna do a engine swap, go for something bigger than 1.6. and the 2.0 daewoo engine is pants for power...get a opel/vauxhall engine.

exactly! and why go for a handuh engine you would only be going down to their level if you want a honda buy a honda and give me your woo it would be cheaper than trying to make your car a POS honda wannabe
