If you block the breather hose, you engine can not let gases accumulated from oil circulation and valves working escape. Then, when the engine is under stress, it will do anything possible to relieve the stress. For my case, it was during an attempted burnout and the pressure popped my dipstick out and caused most of the oil out of my engine to leak out. I guess for you, the gas somehow seeped back into the combustion chambers when oil pressure was high (turns and acceleration) and caused the popping noise. It could have damaged some internals, be careful in the next few weeks to make sure that nothing permanent is gone.

Only $180... the muffler sucks though... very loud but its okay. Its not madrel bent either but if your not looking to break speed records or high hp thats not a big dealBosnianLanos wrote:Hey man, how much did your new exhaust system cost, muffler and all? One of my goals is a new exhaust system for this summer. I will be able to get more hours at work so I will have some extra money to invest in the car.
