Yeha i in a real downpour they'd probably have alotta problems.
Anyways acingteam. Alot of exhaust systems dont really come angled like that.. some do but not all. I tried finding a picture of one on a car though and couldnt find one anywhere (my gf wanted to see) but thats what i plan on doing.. plus when i jacked up the car today i realized that would be much mroe straight to have it under the axle then angled, and look better!Q

Well my exhaust is pretty much dead. I raced my first guy on the freeway last night
bad idea... It was like an highway patrol car.. i think. I remember my friend had one and they had really high gear ratios though. Anyway... we started at 80... he flew by me and then i dropped it down and started gaining on him (i thik he let me) at about 115mph we were side my side and he floored it. He probably got up to 130 when i was at 120. Anyways that finally killed my exhaust.. thankfully it happened last night b/c right now im supposed to be at arace. I wouldnt want that to have happened at the race.

well had the exhaust completly redo. The problems still there. Worst than ever. It seams to be at its worst when im turning (mostly to the right) and have the gas on.
Had to cancle todays race.. hopfully i get a refund. Might have to cancel tomorrows race.. dont think ill get a refund b/c tomorrows race was creditted to me from a couple weeks ago when i couldnt make the race cuz a flat tire.

Im pretty sure it has to do with the spark plugs/wires. Ive also heard someone have the same exact problems and it was the wires. I looked at them last night and didnt see anything but ill take a better look when i get to the track

Well I took out all the spark plugs and looked at all the wires---its all okay. The entire exhaust is fine... not a single leak from the headers down to the muffler.
While i was checking the exhaust for leaks the car was sitting there idling for 5 mins and out of nowhere it started to die.. after like 10 seconds it was back to normal.

I believe that is the radiator fans kicking in, they take power from the alternator momentarily until it has time to regain power, car gets rough and then really quiet. Happens on most cars, don't worry about it.
As for exhaust popping, I notice it on most cars with (sorry to say) poorly done exhausts. Accelerating it is normal, but when easing back on the gas it sounds like Vroom-pop-pop-pop and then to idle. I doubt it is plugs/wires. Maybe your new intake is causing the car to run rich and the extra fuel is being burned late causing the popping noise. Put on your stock intake for a few days and see if it goes away, if it doesn't, try adding a resonator to the exhaust, it will even out the flow more.

Its not the exhaust... ive had two different exhausts on it with the same problem... this current one is very nicly done.
I cant put on my stock intake cuz it broke, thats why i got this one.. and if it was the intake this would have happened long ago. Ive already driven thousands of miles on this new intake and a few races. So i doubt its the intake.
The popping doesnt occur after accerating... only during it. Much more when im turning and accerating. Never does it after i slow down on the gas. Mostly when i first get on it or get on it in a lower gear. Although sometimes if im on a curvy road it will do it all the way through 3rd gear very strongly

this might sound crazy but it seems the popping you got is related to how much G force you produce (accelerating and turning) so it seems like a little hole somewhere that gets big under G force where the exhaust piping starts to move left or right.
again try to block the exhaust tip with the engine on and move it to left and right and listen to any leak sounds comming out.

That could be possible, if you are giving it gas, everthing moves backwards, and maybe there is a crack or a loose bolt near your header and everytime you move in a certain direction it opens up. Try to tighten all of your header bolts and tighten and liquid gasket up all of the O2 sensor conections to the exhaust just to make sure there is absolutely no leaks.

Problem solved... at least i think. I think the tube that feeds oil? to the intake was blocked. Not sure if thats what the tube does but it was blocked and i fixed it, took a 5 mins drive and had no problems. I guess im not sure its gone, id need to go on a longer drive but i took like 50 turns and had no problems.
Not sure how this coulda caused the problems i had.. espceially during turns

it seems that you are talking about the breather tube that goes from the top of the engine to the intake... this tube's job is to make ventlation to the crank case to let out the gases that escaped the piston rings... if that path is blocked then gases will build up pressure in the crank case and cause seals to foul.
not sure how will that make an exhaust popping noise or be affected by turns but anyways it is good to know its over... keep on testing till you are 100% sure its all gone... i still wonder what code would that CEL throw... high oil pressure??... i don't know but i wish to know.
