I tried the DIY Halos using the clear acrylic blind rods, yes it is doable, yes it works, I give it a C+ for looks as the LED has to be uber bright to give a good result, other than that, it is easy. But for the question of is it worth it? NO, don't DIY, get the premade ones, they look 10X better.

I wish I had taken pics of my project. I put them in my OEM fog lights and they got screwed so I got rid of the whole setup.
