engine oil flush

i want to flush the inside of my engine during the up coming oil change and i can't find a flush product (as usual) so can i use some chippo engine oil to surve the same purpose??

i am planning on getting a cheap non synthetic oil and pour it in the engine and let it run for some 10 or 15 min. then drain it and fill up with Mobil 1... will that be any good? any other suggestions or precautions i should keep my eyes on??

I've hear traditional engine flush (typical 5 minutes flush) is not so recommended. In fact they may do more harm than good by getting sludge build-up back in circulation in the oil.

Your idea to use Cheap-Oil seems ok. It will probaly help to get more junk out without risking damage to your engine. I've also heard some people like to pour 1 quart of clean oil at the last minute while they drain the used stuff.

For a quick engine flush, I have heard to add a liter of kerosene to the oil right before the oil change then run the engine for 10 minutes. That is supposed to break up the setiments and then they drain out with the old oil.

I am not sure how safe that is, but I do know that I have seen great results from using Risolne to clean the engine.

Just replace one of the oil bottles with a bottle of Rislone.

what I did was I used one of the cheaper engine flush products. Let it run for 5 minutes.
Then drained the old oil. (don't put the oil plug back in)
Next I take a couple qts of cheap motor oil and let it run through the engine (pour in top, let it run through and out of the oil pan.
Then I tighten up the plug, change the filter, and put good oil in.
From doing this I noticed that my oil is always looks nice and new.
