Forced/Cold Air Induction Kit question
While looking around on a few websites, I found a number of Universal Cold Air Induction Kits. Aestetically they all look very nice and promise a decent performance increase but they are a bit pricey too. The following is an example:

Is it worth spending a bit more and get one of these kits or would a SRI or CAI (much cheaper to buy/make) do the trick just the same?

Yea show the pics! Been looking around to verify which is the best setup for quite some time now. What I wonder is how do these 'famous' brands risk and even dare market certain products which in reality are junk!

Because they're marketing them to a bunch of 16-18 year old kids that have no money to hire a lawyer to sue them.blackielaw wrote:Yea show the pics! just checking
Hey guys I just bought this civic intake formy nubira for like 10 bucks USD plus shiping it came out to about 30 USD. Do you think there's something wrong with it I mean 10 bucks for an intake is a lil bit too cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... AMEWN%3AIT

Yes, it's not going to fit.MickeyX wrote:Hey guys I just bought this civic intake formy nubira for like 10 bucks USD plus shiping it came out to about 30 USD. Re: just checking
Nothing is wrong with the actual intake... it should be brand new and will fit a civic.MickeyX wrote:Hey guys I just bought this civic intake formy nubira for like 10 bucks USD plus shiping it came out to about 30 USD. maybe the pipe would need to be shortned or something to fit the Nubbi but other than that it looks OK... i don't know about the quality of the filter though.

not sure bro... maybe OZ can help you out on this, he just got himself a Civic intake and installed it on his Lanos (after modding it).
AIT sensor is no problem, just drill a hole for it and remove it from the old intake and put it in the new one, just be careful not to drill a too big hole and not to break the sensor in the process of removing it... it is a matter of caution" rather than "hard to do"

thats exactly what I though in fact. Thanks for confirming. Might come over to Egypt in the following weeks for a holiday, after all I'm a History teacher (what better place to visit for its history) and Malta is just across the Mediterranean!
