Well, today I was driving back home from playing tennis. I smelled this funny smell, but did not thing it was mine... so I kept driving. Later, I smelled it again and this time the smoke was coming from my hood. Also, my temp gauge was going up like crazy, I quickly pulled over and turned the car off (before the arrow got to 3/4 temp). Well my whole engine comparetment is wet, including my intake filter. The antifreeze is all gone. Turns out it's my thermostat housing that broke. I pulled on the rubber pipe and saw a thermostat inside. It is the 90 degree bent plastic/rubber part that has the thermostat inside part that broke.
Do you guys know where I can get it quick?... I'm going to a GM dealer tomorrow.

My car had the same issue about 6 months ago but I only have 36000 miles on it. The part was only 10-20 bucks at a chev dealer.

I took it to a chevy dealer to have an Aveo one put on, but they insisted on the KDM one. Apparently the replacement therm. are metal. But i could be mistaking, if i have time i will call up there.
