just 5psi with occational 7psi spike. boost did not kill it as i was not under boost at the time. low oil pressure.

just remebred my mechanic's words now... oil is the thing to watch with those engines... he got that right.

so does that mean that the low oil caused the problem rather than the high RPMs??

debo, get a set of ARP bolts since you have the engine torn apart.

Wich pistons will you use?

trust me, you dont have to say it twice. i learnt my learson the first time. considering custom made forged pistons. thats right, i also forgot to make a group buy for a set from JE for little over $600. manta parts has it for the c20get for 500 but without rings and ,i believe, pins. there is also a difference in the c20ne and c20sed piston skirts. the c20sed's skirt has a little metal shaved from the bottom part so no metal is touching the bore while the c20ne is not shaved. i am think, it might make up for a weight difference.

my forgies are in.
will post pic soon.
i now have the early style crankshaft(the lighter one) with the flat style flywheel(dont need it any more).
i also have the pot style comming in the mail.
i'll make use of the pot style because i can only find a pressure plate for it.
right now i am trying to find out where to shotpeen my let rods :?
also looking for stainless steel valves or else i'll have to custom make thoes too.

Well...if you are going to stay with the flat flywheel, I can get you ceramic 6-puck sprung clutch and 1200lbs pressure plate...cant do the same for the pot-style :(

As far as valves go, I am using stock ones....but polished and slightly undercut.
