Inspect Fuel Filter Integral WIth Fuel Pump?

Post by rev320 »

The manual for my 2005 Forenza says to inspect the fuel filter every 24,000 miles and repalce it at 90,000 miles. It also says that it is integral with the fuel pump. The factory service manual shows how to remove the fuel pump from the tank through a cover under the back seat, but makes no mention of where the fuel filter is.

Anybody have any ideas of how to inspect and/or replace the fuel filter without just scrapping the whole pump?

Interesting; all the Daewoo cars I have seen so far have the fuel filter located on the firewall in the engine bay.

Take a look in your car & see if it is there.

There are two fuel filters, one in the tank, and one on the firewall.

I don't have any experience with the intank one however DamianVic may have some insight here.

If there's a filter on the firewall, I can't find it. None under the car either. I just see hoses and steel lines all the way from the tank.
