Spark plug wire order??
What is the proper spark plug wire order for a 2.2L DOCH leganza engine. Im trying to find diagrams. Any one want to take a look under there hood really quick and give me the order?
thanks

the only reason for that is you can swap plugs A and B and\or C and D and still the engine will fire up correctly so you practically have 4 setups... i only showed the setup that came on the OEM Daewoo engine.
the reason for the swap thing is that our spark plugs fires twice per cycle, the first one is during the compression stroke to burn the fuel mixture and the second is during the exhaust stroke to burn any fuel resedues that still exists (an imissions thingy).
try the setup i gave in the How to... the worst case cenario will be: the car won't start... you can't really hurt the ar with a few little cranks on the wrong assignment.

All Daewoo Models have the same Spark Plug Cycle. Why?, Because all older Daewoos (Lanos, Nubira, Leganza) share the same exact interchangeable ignition coil. The numbers of the cycle are clearly imprinted into the ignition coil, and for reference, the number one cylinder is the one closest to the ignition coil.
I don't know the exact numbers, but just look on your ignition coil.

No the #1 Cylinder is the furthest on the passenger side.BosnianLanos wrote:All Daewoo Models have the same Spark Plug Cycle. you are right Shaun... but i prefer to mark the #1 as the first cylinder from the engine's front end, whereas the engine's front is where the belts are and the engine's rear is were the tranny is.daewooluvr wrote:No the #1 Cylinder is the furthest on the passenger side.BosnianLanos wrote:All Daewoo Models have the same Spark Plug Cycle. this will illiminate any confusion that might occure due to the presence of right hand drive Woos arround.

their is a difference between the spark plug cables order and the actual firing order here guys...
the spark plug cables order on a Lanos is 1-4-2-3... that is on the ignition coil going from A to D. due to the fact that the spark plug fire twice per cycle you can interchange the cables on each side of the coil pack and still have a perfictly running engine, in that case setups like4-1-2-3 & 1-4-3-2 & 4-1-3-2 are OK to use however the 1-4-2-3 is the one that Daewoo uses.
the firing order on an engine is the order at wich you get power stroke on the cylinder so if you are given a 4 cyl. engine and you got a power stroke at cyl. 1 then the firing pattern will be one of two: 1-3-4-2 or 1-2-4-3.
someone might ask why are those the only two setups used? the answer is the other setups or firing orders will result in a power stroke at one end at the crank shaft then another power stroke at the other end (i.e. 1-4-2-3 or 1-2-3-4)... that will stress the crank shaft and make it more vulnerable to breaking so those are the only orders you get on an inline 4 cyl. engine with the 1-3-4-2 more popular.
i hope it is clear enough.

Thanks for that clearence mmamoud.... But the 1-3-4-2 firing order is the common one on a inline 4cyl.... On a V8 it's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2...
