Its the same picture of one acingteam posted along time ago in the topic about my throttle body breaking only this time is like half the price. But actually it says that photo may not be actually product.. damnit! this sucks. I doubt they'd even send a pic of the actual product if i ask.
Damnit Tom find that 90 degree bend so i can just buy the CAI off you

I think it will fit, cause you can always twist it around (left and right), so it looks like it will. Email them and ask them if the picture actually matches the real thing.
Update on the current intake... BIG difference... not just in effecincy but power to. I have no doubt im making a decient enough amount more oh hp. I also replace my spark plugs though.
But It pulls alot harder when i swith into the next gear. But biggest thing i noticed was at higher RPMs.. i definitly need my shiftlight now. It comes up so fast.... it like jumps from 5500 to 6000. Very nice. Also with the intake (since it revs faster) its very easy to match RPMs now when downshifting, all i need to do is tap the gas.
Im not so sure if im gonna get another intake anymore actually. Ive noticed alot more POWER, not just quicker revs. The sounds i thought was annoying at high RPMs went away for the most part.
Is there any kind of piping i can get to make my own intake?
Ive looked for soft piping and cant find anything but what about hard piping?
They sell all kinds of pipes for mainly exhaust projects, but they work well for intakes too. They sell a mandrel bent U - Pipe made of "aluminized steel" that you can cut to the different forms you need to suit your intake curves. I actually have a CD with a write-up on how to make an intake using this tubing for a del sol, but using the same idea, you can easily make one for any car. I was going to make a RAI for my Lanos but decided to take the prebuilt SRI road.
Hey this is my first post here I was also thinking of getting an intake on my optra, but i was wondering how it sounds. Is there any chance you could record a sound or video clip ? Like revving and maybe a driveby?

BTW, kinkyllama what is your name on cardomain?
Do a search on intake for optra5 by either ErFinder or 360Dynamics. They have made a vid with just an intake, but it's been a while ago.
nah i cant get a sound of it i dont have anything to do it with.
But the sound has changed since i first put it on.. which i didnt think happened. It had an annoying buzzing sound obove 5k rpms... now you only here it between 5200-5500 and its going away alot still. But it sounds ... just more like open.. i dunno how to explain it
