filling motor mounts

Post by kinkyllama »

I know a few people have done this on there lanos' but i have some more questions (once i start doing it) that i figured i should just start my own topic.

First off what is best to use? silocon or something?

Which parts should i fill?

How long should i wait after i fill them before i drive?

What adventages beside maybe preventing torque steer does this have?

This is the motormount, right?

Any other input would be great.

Thanks!

yeah thats the engine mount but it is very different than the one on a Lanos... basicly for the job you fill all the gaps between the rubber parts and the metal parts, for that particulat mount i can't see any area to fill.

There is a type of Urethane that can be purchased at a local autobody supply shop but I can't remember the name.
