well it seams to be working fine... im not sure if i like the new sound though.

It sounds nice at normal driving RPMs but once over 4k rpms it has a funny sound that im not sure if i like and i dont know if all intake do this cuz ive never even been in a car with an intake.. i think ive heard a similar sound before at autocross events. It also makes the sound even if your at 2k RPMs and you put the throttle down more than 50%

glad to see you got it on for now. the sound you were talking about though was it kinda like cross between a whistle and a BOV? like a wwhhsssss? well mine makes that type of sound but i do like it. now you do have a filter on it right? couldn't tell from the pics. and you can always get a breather instead of the hose but you'll have to clean the engine bay more.

yo kinky... the rubber fitting is bent too much and i am sure it ristricts the air a bit not to mention that it can be torn with the help of engine heat.

also the clamp of the crank case breather is not in its correct palse... you are now blocking the oil vapor path and can cause pressure build up in the crank case... move the clamp further to the end of the hose (closer to the metal piping).

congrats. on the installation and i hope you get akll problems sorted out.

Yeah i know... im going to try to find the correct bend today. I should have enough time cuz i dont have school :D Sunday i took off the last part of my stock intake (the one right by the fog light hole) and drove around with it for a little bit and it made a hudge! difference. This intakes about the same as the stock one without that last part but that bend is really restrictive the way it is but its still equal to how i had it sunday. You cant even tell how restrictive that bend is by the picture either, you have sharp eyes

I checked that all out.. it still blows about 70% as much as it did before.. that clamp is just holding the tube over the other one.. there is no leaking at where the 2nd tube goes over the intake but there is leaking at where the two tubes meet cuz of that dipple thingy.. i was going to fill it with something but i dont even need to bother.. im going to just get one single tube thats long enough today

Why don't you just use one tube instead of placing one over the other? It is noticable that your 2nd tube is bent a LOT, seriously you do not want to do that... just do one tube all the way.

Good catch mmamdouh

lol.. i didnt jsut put two tubes on it for the hell of it

The tube was an inch too short and i couldnt get it to fit.. and the other tube was shorter than the stock one.. so i had to put them togather

lol well, hopefully you'll find a good solution for this problem. Perhaps buy a small metal pipe and connect both rubber pipes to opposite ends of that pipe with clamps. Or just buy a rubber pipe that is long enough to fit.

BTW, have you noticed any difference in power?

Well.. im going to play with it more when i get a good rubber bend... cuz the way it is now it bends over the throttle body in a way you cant see in the picture and blocks alot of it.

But it does seam more smooth throughout the powrband

Its the same picture of one acingteam posted along time ago in the topic about my throttle body breaking only this time is like half the price. But actually it says that photo may not be actually product.. damnit! this sucks. I doubt they'd even send a pic of the actual product if i ask.

Damnit Tom find that 90 degree bend so i can just buy the CAI off you
