Ramming Air In Engine NON TURBO

Post by python235 »

What if we have a normal ventilated engine and we open the air box on the bottom of the cars grill and let air while driving push in it ??

Do u think it might give a small turbo effect ??
Do u think it gets cold air for more horse power??
Do u think ITS BULL and wont matter ??

Many people use a cold air ram intake on their cars allready.
On the Lanos, several people have removed the fog light cover (on cars that have no fog lights) that is on the same side of the car as their air intake, and run a pipe down to that hole.
When driving, the air is forved into that hole and directly up the pipe into the intake.

you will not get boost from that setup if that is what you are after... you will subistantially reduce restriction in you intake setup that way.

yes it will for sure but not as having a turbo.

it'll increase hp but not by that much. since the air has to travel a ways its just really the colder air that gives you the power b/c of the length its not really a ram air.
