squeaky suspension
Hi I have a nubira 1.6 SE (1998) which has noisy suspension. When I go over speed bumps I get a squaeky noise at the front and back - it used to be only at the front, so things are getting worse. Are my shocks likely to be shot or will some grease fix it - if so where abouts should I apply it? The car seems to drive generally ok.
I have this too
I notice mine more when it is very cold 0 degrees C or there abouts. Once the car is warm it's fine. I saw in the manual that the rubber bushes on the anti-roll bar get hard when cold, and make a squeaking noise.
According to the manual, you need to remove the roll bar and apply some "graphite tape" onto the bar, where the bushes sit.
Personally, I will put up with the squeak, I really can't be arsed to get under the car for something that only happens when it's vary cold.
