-Take off the Intake Air Temp.?s socket in the middle of the tube between the air box and the TB, pop the metal fastener then pull the plug away.
-Remove the breather hose from the tube between the air box and the TB, relocate the metal clamp and pull the breather hose.
-Take off the rubber tube between the air box and the TB, it is fastened by two metal clamps
-Remove the vacuum line from the TB.
-Remove the fuel line from the TB.
-Remove the gas pedal control wire, tilt the plastic reel all the way to the right then unhook the wire from its guide.
-Remove the socket of the TPS.
-Remove the socket of the Idling speed sensor.
-Remove the TPS; it is mounted by 2 Philips screws.
-Remove the Idling Air Controller, it is mounted by 2 Philips screws.
-Take off the cap of the coolant reservoir MAKE SURE THE ENGINE IS COLD ENOUGH BEFORE YOU DO THAT.
-Remove the two coolant hoses on the bottom of the TB (TB heater hoses), relocate the metal clamp then remove the hose. Coolant will drip so make sure you have some coolant to refill your system.
-Take off the two 12 mm bolts at the top right and bottom left of the TB then remove the TB away from the intake manifold.
-Make sure you don?t lose the TB gasket
-Use WD 40 and an old toothbrush to scrub and clean all the dirt residues in the TB?s passages and ports.
-Use WD 40 to clean the tip of the IAC, spray inside the sensor were the metal axel is coming out.
-Use gas to wash the TB from the remaining WD 40 and dirt then dry it with a perfectly clean rag.
-Use a perfectly clean rag to remove the residues of the WD 40 from the IAC.
-Put back the TB on the intake and fasten the two 12 mm bolts, DON?T FORGET THE GASKET.
-Put the coolant hoses back on the TB, the short one (coming from the main coolant pipe) in the right port and the left one (going to the reservoir) to the left port. If you want to by pass the heater then refer to the note at the end of the instructions.
-Put back the TPS sensor back and put its socket on, watch out to the contact point between the sensor and the butterfly axel.
-Put back the IAC and its socket, put a drop or two of power steering fluid in the place where you sprayed the WD 40, this is for lubing the control motor and preventing it from beeing slugish.
-Put the vacuum line and the fuel line back on, the fuel line goes into the large nasal.
-Put the gas pedal control wire back.
-Reattach the rubber tube between the air box and the TB.
-Put back the breather hose on the rubber tube between the air box and the TB.
-Put back the ITS sensor socket on the middle of the rubber tube between the air box and the TB.
-Refill the coolant to the MAX mark then secure the cap.
-Turn the ignition key on for five seconds then back of three consecutive times; this is to let the ECU remap the sensors.
-Turn on the engine and watch out for any sounds, leaks, sputtering or any unusual behavior
- Take the car for a ride to make sure every thing is OK.
NOTE: to bypass the TB heater; take off the right hose from the main coolant pipe behind the engine?it is a short hose with a little clamp at the bottom.
Mount the left hose ? attached to the coolant reservoir ? to where you just took off the short hose (on the main coolant pipe), this way the coolant comes from the main pipe and directly to the reservoir.
