2000 Nubira,need front struts,help!

Brought my 2000 Nubira cdx wagon in for a knocking sound,turns out the front struts need replacing.Parts,labour, taxes etc.. around $630.00 Canadian.Are there any other vehicles that use the same struts so I can shop around and compare prices?I really don't want to spend that kind of money,it's a family driver.Thanks.

We also have access to all Daewoo replacement parts.

The price is for 2 replacement struts in the front.I'm assuming they are oem replacments.I'm pretty sure they order them from here:

Price is installed,labour,taxes etc..My mechanic is pretty honest,and is the authorized Daewoo mechanic in the area,as he did all the warranty work for the local Daewoo dealership before it went under.Solvit covers any remaining warranty for Daewoo cars.I received a letter in the mail from Solvit,they also confirmed that my mechanic is the place to go for any warranty repairs.Thanks.

How much are they charging you for 2 front struts?

If I recall correctly approx. $185.00 each.

We can do CAD $310 + GST shipped, for both of them (Genuine OEM replacement). This would, however, be special order (3-4 weeks).

Let us know if you need any other parts, as we easily beat Solvit's prices, and you save an extra 8% due to no PST.

Thanks Tom,while I've got your attention,I also need 2 of the gas charged struts for the liftgate of my 2000 Nubira wagon and it appears the muffler will need replacing as well.Any prices on these?My mechanic said the muffler is in the $300.00 range and the struts are around $35.00 apiece.Maybe I should'nt have said that Let me know,thanks.
