Did Opel came with a 1.6 engine?
I'm looking for a 1.6 piston but high compression that can be adapted to my Lanos, which is 9.5 to 1. I want to increase the compression since the head block can't be reduce too much.

Yes Opel made a 1.6 engine with 8 valves and with 16 valves... i got no idea about the compression rations on those engines.

moin,
look here http://www.die-opel-tuner.de/seiten/motoren/1600ccm.htm. only the engins with the cylindersize 79x81,5 (hub/bohrung). i think you have to make pockets into the pistons of the 8V for the valve?s. the highest compression ist 10,5:1. than you have to driver a better fuel (95 octan ROZ)
maybe take the pistons of the diesel engine (23,0:1)

I don't understand what you want to say. My engine has the cylindersize 79x81,5. So I could find other pistons from opel to match my engine?look here http://www.die-opel-tuner.de/seiten/motoren/1600ccm.htm. only the engins with the cylindersize 79x81,5 (hub/bohrung)

yes, but only in view of the cylindersize. i dont know, if the piston will fit to the daewoo piston rod. and if you use the piston rod and the piston from opel, it maybe will not fit to the crankshaft. My engine has the cylindersize 79x81,5. So I could find other pistons from opel to match my engine?

I will try to buy pistons of opel engine C 16 XE and mount on my engine. 10xyes, but only in view of the cylindersize. i dont know, if the piston will fit to the daewoo piston rod. and if you use the piston rod and the piston from opel, it maybe will not fit to the crankshaft.

yeah i had the same question but there is the thought of where the piston pin is located on the piston like if its lower or higher. if its higher you can try to find a longer rod which then you would be stroking for an even higher compression. there are so many things that have to be measured before this can be done so a micrometer will be your best friend
