Header from Sharkracing DOES NOT FIT!!!!!!!!!!
Here's what the problems are..... here's the email I sent them since they don't have a phone... if anyone has any ideas on this issue, please help!!!
Sam,
I got the header, and it does NOT fit my 2001 1.6L Daewoo Lanos. I'm very upset and would like to know if you might have shipped me the wrong header by an accident. The flunge (triangle where 3 bolts go) do NOT match up the stock exhaust, also the Oil Pan is in the way ( the stock exhaust goes around it, this one does not). It looks like it might fit at the block but the oil pan doesn't let the pipe to fit.
Please, check for me if it is indeed a right header for Lanos 1.6L.... if it is, it's simply not compatible with my car and I want my money back.
Thank you,
Igor Podoprigora

moin,
there are 4 typ?s oil pan?s.
1. partnumber: 96350495
2. partnumber: 96351600 (to V.I.N. E176238, this part)
3. partnumber: 96445380 (from V.I.N. E176239)
the atomatic shifter have a oil pan of steel...the other one?s are aluminium, maybe a other construction?
and there are 2 diverent headers.
part No: 96350544 (to V.I.N. E220673)
part No: 96350543 (from V.I.N. E220674)
so you have to look at the VehicleIdentNumber of both cars.
where do you buy the header? i can?t find a header at http://www.sharkracing.com for the lanos.

Well when ordering it said that it fits 1.5L/1.6L Lanos. It said nothing about VINs. Also, this is where the header stops:

The header doesn't go all the way to no. 5 it stops where the line is...
QUESTION: What can I do??? Is there another oil pan I can buy?
moin,
man, it is 1.00am in germany
the old version:

the new version:

oil pan i have no pictures, where you can see the differences.
the header will never fit to the 1.5 and 1.6 engine.they have different headers. if they would say 1.4 and 1.5...that will fit...but not with the 1.6.

EDIT: you posted 2 same pictures....
That is exactly what it looks like:Efrain A. wrote:Can you post a picture of the header?

If only that flex pipe piece was more to the left, it would've cleared the oil pan... It is a bit short though (doesn't reach the stock flunge)...
So, anyone, which version of Lanos (MT/AT, 1.5/1.6)??
Thanks...
